QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS

The results can last between 2-3 weeks, depending on how fast your hair grows. The more frequently that you wax the longer the results will last. Over time you'll notice less hair regrowth. Plus, the hair will come back softer, finer. We recommend waxing every 4-6 weeks

Some pain is to be expected with waxing! For your own comfort it's best to take some ibuprofen 1 hour before your appointment. It is also best to wax after your menstrual cycle. Regular waxing appointments weaken the hair and the results are definitely worth it!

Please exfoliate the area to be waxed either the day before or day of your appointment using a loofah sponge or a body scrub. This step will help to remove the build up of dead skin, removes dry skin and assists in bringing any underlying hair to the surface. Exfoliated skin will mean faster service, less irritation, and less hair breakage!

Recommendations Before Waxing Treatments:

Following these guidelines will help prepare skin and hair before your wax appointment and minimize irritation after your appointment:

•  The ideal length of hair prior to wax, is 1/4 inch long, or longer, about 2 weeks of hair growth. This ensures a quicker, cleaner, less painful experience.

   Ensures the best result possible.
•  Since the hair is lifted from the root, regrowth can take from 2-4 weeks. Over time the hair shaft is finer, thinner, and you'll notice less growth.

Contraindications:

Please let us know if you are using any prescription for acne or anti-aging medications, including but not limited to: Accutane, Retin-A, Retinols, differin, tazorac, avage, isotretinoin, prescription strength AHA's (Glycolic, Lactic, Salicylic acid).

Doctors advice these patients to not have any waxing services. These medications can weaken the skin and lead to tearing and scarring of the skin. We regret to inform you that no waxing services will be performed on any clients using the above medications.

No waxing or facial services of any kind will be performed on clients with a cold sore breakout on the day of the appointment (Herpes simplex I).

Avoid sun immediately after waxing and wear sunscreen for the next few days. Recently waxed areas are prone to hyper-pigmentation (permanent darkening of the skin). Avoid heavy exercise for at least 24 hours after waxing. Avoid saunas, steam rooms, Jacuzzi  or any other heated sources for at least 48 hours after waxing.

"How long does it last?"

After any body wax it's important to keep-up with the exfoliation and keep your skin free of dead skin build up. Please wait 5 days before you start exfoliating to prevent irritation. After five days you can use a body scrub or a loofah sponge daily to lightly exfoliate. We also carry products for sale that help prevent ingrown hair.
